York County runs from the farm country around Dillsburg in the north to the Mason-Dixon Line along its southern edge, and from the Susquehanna River at Wrightsville west to Hanover. Across that stretch you’ll find old stone basements in the boroughs, block-foundation ranches from the postwar years, split-levels, and new subdivisions with poured basements.
